“ My favorite go to for Tacos and Mulitas It doesn't matter what you eat here. it's all good The best Pineapple & Hibiscus drink around ”
“ Food trucks have a fun sort of vibe. I'm not sure what it is, but ordering through a window appeals to me. I came here late at night and it was busy. I smashed through three of the best al pastor tacos I've probably ever had. The meat is incredible. So flavorful and tender. If I wasn't on a diet I would have probably gotten three more. They aren't open every weekday so check their social media for days they are open. They often don't go on rainy nights, either. You need to try this place. It is SOLID. ”
“ Out of all the street taco experiences in LA, El Chato is my personal favorite. When you're here in LA, tacos are going to be in every street corner and choosing the best one might be a challenge because they're all so good! But el chato has a special place in my heart because of all the great times I've had coming here with my friends. Food: the Al pastor here is soooo good! I actually can't speak for the rest of the meats because I've only ever had the Al pastor/adobada, but trust me when I say the flavor is amazing. It might be a bit oily/greasy, but the flavor of the Al pastor 100% trumps over the other taco spots in LA. Their burrito, tacos, literally anything with their Al pastor is to die for. Don't forget to add the pineapple on top for that sweet and salty combination. Their salsas are also amazing! Service: they're a taco truck so you're getting the service you're paying for. You order and they give you the food. That's it. If you have any modifications or anything to add, they'll do it for you. Ask for extra salsa? They got you. You really can't complain. And the fact they're open so late is also a huge plus. I love this place. Thank you for feeding me. ”
“ So, I've been going to this taco truck, forever but never got to write a review for them so today, I'm doing so. I love this taco truck, way better than any I've been to. I don't understand why there's another taco truck that's more popular, it seems. Their tacos are just so meh to me. I always get the same thing when I come here which is al pastor tacos and asada quesadillas. The meat is always very flavorful. It isn't flavorless or like just salty tasting but very savory tasting. The customer service is also wonderful as well. Probably my only complaint is that they aren't open for longer hours, more days and during the day. But other than that, this is the best taco truck in my eyes and if they ever go away, I'm gonna be very sad since so many of my favorite places to eat have closed over the years. ”
“ Best, pastor tacos outside of Mexico. But make sure you go after 6:00 when they have the pastor on a spit outside ”
“ El Chato never disappoints. Make sure to get the cabeza taco (cows head). Delicious and fast! There are no tables. You just east standing or in top of your car in the parking lot. ”
“ Overall good tacos. This truck has been a staple for over a decade. They're most well known for their Al pastor which is very good and very seasoned. I had 4 tacos. Al pastor, asada, buche & tripas. The al pastor was the best, the asada was good and seasoned well but it didn't have a nice char or grill flavor to it. The tripas was cool well with some crunchiness and flavor. The buche was also decent. The Al paator burrito my friend got was good but burrito was not well put together and the integrity of the burrito fell apart quickly. The parking is very hard to find if you can't find it at the lot they're posted up in. The staff is nice and the line can be long depending on the busy times. ”
“ Best tacos EVER! The perfect size stuffed with so much meat and well balanced tacos. The tortillas top the best I've ever had. And if you are looking for spice you will get it here! The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. There is no seating but people of all ages come in groups, pull up there trunks and eat the food standing or have it on top of there cars. Such a fun environment with everyone enjoying tacos with great company. Doesn't matter how far you need to drive to get here, I highly recommended trying these at least once. You won't regret it ”
“ El Chato's authentic tacos go crazy at nighttime! I came here for the first time with my buddy after a concert, and we loved it. I only go to food trucks sometimes, but I would return to this one if I were in LA. The parking lot was small but not full at night; I assume it can get crowded at rush hour! Their menu was straightforward, and we both got four tacos each. I got two al pastor and two carne asada. The price was $2.25 per taco! Overall, they tasted great; I just wish they labeled which was which because my friend got a different flavor per taco, and we couldn't differentiate them, haha. We were in the car for 30 minutes trying to figure out who had what. ”
